Jeong Research Group develops innovative process monitoring, control, and in-situ characterization methods for advanced manufacturing processes, including metal additive manufacturing (AM) and semiconductor packaging, to improve quality and reliability. This approach enhances understanding of fundamental physical phenomena of material behavior during manufacturing processes and addresses theoretical and practical challenges associated with quality control and assurance of manufacturing systems. Our research has interdisciplinary collaborations with thermal science, materials science, and data science.
